Organic Body Care – Do You Really Know What’s in Your Lotion?

Are you tired of cleaning up but don’t have the time or the inclination to do it yourself? Maybe you want more support and guidance than what you can get from other people, or maybe you just feel like getting things done right the first time is more important than the ability to clean your own stuff. Whatever the case may be, you’ve come to the right place! If you’re tired of never-ending scrubbing that doesn’t produce the desired results, you’re in the right place.

If you re like to sometimes just brush up and lightly rub a layer of body lotion into dry skin, it’s officially time for you to develop a skin care regimen for your body. Not sure how? Just break down a simple body care regimen into five basic steps, and sharing what you know here is the first step towards feeling good about yourself.

Step one is to pick out your personal care products. There are so many to choose from, that you’ll feel like you’ll never know what to choose! The trick is to focus on products made with natural ingredients. Even though products made with “all-natural” ingredients cost a little less than their counterparts, they often don’t deliver as much benefit. As an example, many products contain petrolatum or mineral oil, which clogs pores and makes the skin feel heavy and oily. Look for skin care products with natural ingredients like aloe vera or plant-based oils like grape seed oil.

Step two is to decide what your skin care products will consist of. Will they be primarily used for moisturizing purposes? Or are you looking for anti-aging products, wrinkle repair, or pore tightening treatments? Once you decide your routine, stick to it. Don’t try to experiment with new products until you have developed and implemented a solid body care routine.

Step three is to decide what specific body-care product you want to buy. If you’re looking for a deep cleansing mask, look for one that contains active manuka honey. Honey is an effective antibacterial and antioxidant, providing a healing effect that removes old impurities while restoring your PH balance. Many effective cleansers also include kaolin and bentone gel, which remove grime and restore smoothness to pimples and blemishes.

Step four is to choose the right product. If you want a lotion that works as a body-care routine, find a brand that contains active manuka honey and natural antioxidants like babassu. These ingredients help to erase toxins from the skin, leaving it smoother and more radiant. Lotions that remove dead skin cells or moisturizers that soften and condition the skin are great too, because they combine exfoliation with a moisturizing process.

The fifth step in your body-care routine is to incorporate good hygiene habits into your daily life. Wash your face twice a day using a gentle cleanser, and then apply moisturizer that is rich in emoluments like babassu. Use products with anti-aging ingredients, including sunscreens and moisturizers. Try to avoid rubbing your face vigorously, because this irritates pores and causes wrinkles. Moisturize your body from head to toe and be sure to wear clothing that will allow for air to circulate.
