Ixora is a dietary supplement created by nutritionist Isabel De Los Rios. Everyday millions of people buy and sell Ixora products throughout the world. Isabel is the mother of five children and has been a vegetarian since she was a child. In her youth, she was extremely sick with a bowel infection that resulted in her having to eat feces in order to get rid of it. It is amazing how something as simple as fecal incontinence could cause so much distress for this otherwise healthy woman.
ixora is actually part of the mint family, Solanaceae, along with pennyroyal, coriander, cilantro, basil, and chives. Xolia grows wild in the central and southern parts of Mexico and Central America. Ixora’s flowers look like tiny blue star-shaped clusters of flowers. The plant comes from the same family as broccoli and chard. Though Ixora’s official scientific name is Icium sativum, it is commonly known as “fireweed” because of its ability to provide a rich soil with very little nutrients.
Because it has never been planted to produce fruits or seeds, it is classified as an evergreen shrub. Growing Ixora requires an equally strong environmental base to prevent it from succumbing to disease or becoming vulnerable to harsh insect invasions. When purchasing an Ixora bush, you will find that it has leaves ranging in color from white, red, pinkish, orange, green and blue. The entire front blade of the plant ranges in color from purple to orange, with some white lines running across the entire flower heads.
Ixora ‘Sally Moragne’ is a shrub that grows up to three meters tall with a cluster of bright purple flowers. The flowers are cream, blue, pink, purple and white. Sally Moragne blooms between September and October every year, with the flowers being small and being a single blossom in the early summer. The plant has white, red and green flowers which bloom during the months of August and September. It is a year-round flowering plant that prefers a drier climate.
Ixora ‘Lavender Rose’ is another long-term flowering plant with pink to white flowers. The plant is about two meters tall and has several purple flowers blooming during the month of June and July. Lavender Rose thrives best in soils that are well-drained and can hold moisture. In addition, it is tolerant of drought. Lavender Rose grows easily in most places and is naturally found in low lying areas near cacti and rocks.
Ixora ‘Rica pine’ has pink flowers and has been planted for many years in the coastal area near Espirito Santo, Vanuatu, but now grows well in dry coastal soil, near freshwater creeks. The plant has adapted to a drier coastal and sub-tropical climate. It needs a well-drained, acidic soil with a good structure to withstand high tides and barometric pressure. It also likes a sunny location, which will keep the roots cool. The plant has been successfully grown in pots, on bark and wood.
Ixora ‘Boswellia ‘cleramarga’ has a distinctive variegated bract that looks like a bird’s nest. The plant blooms between May and August and has a fusible-looking fruit. This family contains two other evergreen shrubs, Leucatinium and Epimedium, with some smaller members. All these species belong to the evergreen family known as the floribundae.
Ixora ‘Auricularis’ flowers in the spring and has a double bloom. It is not common, as it is a biennially growing plant, with one bloom coming up each year. A tall flowering plant, the flowers are up all season long, in late summer and early fall. Ixora ‘Sally Moragne’ blooms in purple and cream flowers between June and August and has black flowers. It is an evergreen shrub from the evergreen family of Cladosporidae in the plant family of plants called phytochemicals.
