How to Effectively Reduce Age Spots and Wrinkles

Lactic Acid, is a favorite in the skin care industry and among the best anti-aging ingredients available today. It is also used in some facial masks and creams to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The question many ask about lactic acid and its effectiveness is whether it really helps to improve your skin’s health and appearance. My experience with the best products is what leads me to recommend lactic acid as a part of your daily skin care regimen.

I first learned how to use lactic acid exfoliant products when I was a student at college. I remember going for a run each day and running my hands and arms over the cool, dry skin on my face. Every morning I would be surprised by new small pimples appearing where I had not been touching my skin. This was the normal condition for my age; I was 22. This gave me a sense of urgency to find a product that could help my skin look younger and reduce some of these small red blemishes that were sprouting up where I wasn’t touching.

So I started using it. I noticed immediately that the red spots on my face were lessened. My face felt refreshed. But did I really see a difference? I thought I should check with a dermatologist to make sure that my skin was responding correctly to the treatment. Fortunately, my dermatologist explained that using a lactic acid peel and other sensitive skin products would be safe for my sensitive skin.

After I had gotten confirmation from my dermatologist, I started researching skincare acids. I found that there are four different types of acids that are used. They are Glycolic, Salicylic, Terpinen-4-ol, and Oxybenzone. Each has its own set of benefits, so I decided to start my research based on my own needs.

One of the first products I found to have a low risk for sensitive skin was a lactic acid peel. Products such as this one contain grape seed oil and heme. They work as a chemical peel because the oil breaks down the top layer of dead skin cells, exposing healthy skin underneath. Because of this, there is little risk of irritation, burning, or redness.

The biggest benefit of using this product is the cell turnover benefit. This benefit allows your skin to naturally shed off dead cells, leaving you with fresher looking skin. Another benefit of this acid is increased moisture content. You’ll notice an overall glow and tone to your complexion, which can even out your skin tone to a more even complexion.

The only side effect I experienced from using a lactic acid product was slight redness. It didn’t feel as soothing as the Derma E DMAE skin irritation relief lotion. This mild redness lasted a couple days and went away as I continued to use the lactic acid product. However, I definitely noticed a difference in my skin irritation.

I recommend trying a few different products to see which one works best for your particular skin issues. In my case, I benefited from both salicylic acid and lactic acid. My face got rid of dryness and had a nice healthy glow. Now, I’m not saying that these products will work for everyone, but they certainly are worth trying. Try a few different products, experiment, and don’t give up. Skin care products can take some time to find the right balance for you, but with a little patience and dedication, you should find a skin care product that works well for your type of skin.

Another great way to fight age spots is to gently peel off your make-up. If you haven’t tried this before, I highly recommend it. No one enjoys having a bright face and age spots on it, and peeling off your make-up can help eliminate the issue. This method does require a little bit of skill, but if you’re patient you should be successful. This also helps remove any debris or dust that might be on your face.

Although I haven’t used all of the products on the market that contain lactic acid, I have had the best experiences with products containing it. The most effective products on the market use products containing the ingredient in their ingredients. If you’d rather skip the expensive products and save some money, there are many inexpensive skin care products available but don’t expect them to be nearly as effective.

Unfortunately, the higher the concentration of lactic acid in a product, the more expensive it will be. In addition, I recommend avoiding products that combine alpha hydroxy acids with other chemicals as these can be irritating to the skin. You should always read the label of ingredients before purchasing any skin care products.
