What You Need to Know About Body Wash And Soaps

The body wash is an ordinary liquid product utilized for cleansing the entire body during hot showers. Just like other soaps, body washes also contain moisturizing agents and other additives to make the process of cleansing easy and enjoyable. Not to be mistaken with ordinary body washes, shower soaps, actually, don’t contain actual oil. Instead, it utilizes synthetic detergents obtained from plant or petroleum sources. Nevertheless, the use of artificial oil can be detrimental to health as studies have shown.

To help you understand the main difference between regular body wash and bar soap, let’s study each product more closely. Bar soap is made by mixing together some bars of various colors and scents. Most of these soaps have fragrances added to it which make it smell nice. Some bar soaps are even enhanced with preservatives and herbal ingredients which make it taste delicious. However, most of these products do not have enough moisturizers in them to keep the skin soft and hydrated. As a result, dryness sets in due to the loss of emollients, sebum, natural oils, and other natural lipids that protect the skin.

When using bar soap, it is best to apply a little amount onto your body wash before you begin exfoliating, because this will coat the hair strands and skin with lubricant and keep the lather lasting longer. If you want to have more lather on your body wash, simply add more water after rinsing it off. Lather wasters such as moisturizing creams and soaps tend to thin out the lather, making it runny. For best results, you should use a combination of regular and body wash so you can maximize its moisturizing properties.

Most body washes are designed to have natural ingredients in them. There are some washes though which contain harmful ingredients such as parabens and phthalates. Parabens are an artificial preservative used in many products to extend their shelf life. Phthalates though being a hormone-altering substance which can cause cancer, are banned in some countries, and are known to trigger allergic reactions.

In addition to the harmful ingredients mentioned above, there are also a few natural ingredients found in body wash that you may want to consider. These natural ingredients are usually more cost-effective and may be more effective in cleaning the skin effectively. Some of these natural ingredients include tea tree oil, natural vitamin E, and essential oils like lavender, Rosemary, and olive oils.

Other ingredients which work well in body washes are antioxidants such as vitamin A, C, and E, and other natural ingredients such as aloe, collagen, and elastin. These ingredients help your skin become healthier by getting rid of free radicals that would otherwise break down your skin cells. Free radicals damage the skin and cause wrinkles, dark spots, and age spots. Antioxidants help your skin repair itself from the inside out and get back to being healthy and young looking again.

In some cases where a certain body wash contains ingredients that you are allergic to, you will need to take special care when handling these soaps. Many companies use chemicals as preservatives in their products, which is why it is important to read the label on the back of the bottle. The majority of body washes and skin cleansers contain parabens, and you will want to avoid any body wash or cleanser which contains this ingredient. When checking the label for any specific ingredients, look for a list of ingredients which say “paraben-free”, instead of just a general list of ingredients.

Since many people do not know much about body washes and cleansers, they end up using products that do more harm than good for their skin. If you have problems with allergies, look for products that specifically state they are hypoallergenic or which use hypoallergenic products. Avoid using products that are meant to be applied to dry skin. It is best to use natural body washes and cleansers that can be purchased at gourmet food shops and online.
